In June, Electromet enhanced its CNC machining capability by installing a HAAS VF-7/40 CNC machining center in its Hagerstown, MD machining facility. This CNC can support a machining envelop of 84 x 32 x 30 inches and has 3-4 axis capability. Electromet has two machining facilities, one located adjacent to the company headquarters in Hagerstown, MD and one located in Johnstown, PA. The new HAAS VF-7/40 gives Electromet 16 CNC machining centers altogether.
Electromet also upgraded the Hagerstown, MD Waterjet Cutting System with new nozzles that operate at 60,000 psi.
