Since 2007, Electromet (EMCorp) has operated one of its two machining centers out of a leased facility in Johnstown, PA. The second machining center is located at the Electromet headquarters facility in Hagerstown, MD.
In order to support existing production demand and maintain the flexibility to rapidly expand with Electromet’s continued growth, Electromet constructed and moved into its new machining center in Johnstown, PA in August. This machining center provides Electromet with the ability to increase total machining capacity by 50% compared with the leased facility and was designed to incorporate lean manufacturing processes.
