Electromet is planning to add three CNC Machining Centers to bolster our overall machining capacity in response to significant growth in business volume.
- Beginning in December 2015, a HAAS VF-6/40 CNC Machining Center will be added at our Johnstown Machine Shop Facility.
- Shortly thereafter, a HAAS VF-6/40 CNC Machining Center and a HAAS VF-7/40 CNC Machining Center will be added at our Hagerstown Machine Shop Facility.
- The Hagerstown Machine Shop Facility will also be expanded by 14,000 SF to accommodate the immediate CNC additions as well as to improve overall material product flow and to allow for the rapid addition of CNC Machining Centers in the future.
- Electromet will also be replacing/upgrading an existing CNC Press Brake with an Amada 2.5mx 88 Ton HS8025/8 Axis High Speed CNC Press Brake.
Additional equipment additions are planned for later in the 2016 calendar year. The combination of new equipment and process improvement will enable Electromet to continue its sustained sales growth while supporting our customers with the capacity and delivery they expect.
