In October 2012, Electromet enhanced its CNC machining capability by installing a HAAS VF-9/40 CNC machining center in its Johnstown, PA machining facility. This CNC can support a machining envelop of 84 x 40 x 30 inches and has 3-4 axis capability.
It also installed a HAAS VF-4SS CNC machining center in its Hagerstown, MD machining facility. This CNC can support a machining envelop of 50 x 20 x 25 inches and has 3-4 axis capability. Together, these additions give Electromet 18 CNC machining centers and support the continued growth of Electromet’s defense business.
